Why are there three lines dedicated to the Shared Number plan on my first bill?

Your first bill will show three-line items, and while it might look a bit busy, it’s all standard.

Here’s what each item means:

1.    Shared Number plan fee: This is the regular $10 monthly charge for the plan.
2.    Pro rata credit: A credit for the days you didn’t use the plan in your first month. For example, if you signed up on the 20th, you’ll get a credit for the unused days from the 1st to the 19th.
3.    Advance charge for next month: Another $10, billed upfront for your second month.

Example Breakdown
•    Daily rate: $0.33 (based on $10 ÷ 30 days)
•    Activation date: 15th of the month
•    Unused days: 14 days (1st–14th)
•    Pro rata credit: 14 × $0.33 = $4.62

So, your first bill would look like:
•    Shared Number plan fee: - $10
•    Pro rata credit: + $4,62
•    Shared Number plan fee for 1 month in advance: - $10
•    TOTAL: $15.38

From Month Two Onward
Your bill will settle down to just $10/month, with no extra line items.
